Mary Virginia Darr

Mary Virginia Darr, 69, of Thomas, WV died January 4, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center in Midlothian, VA.

She was born April 9, 1944 in Parsons, WV a daughter of the late Cecil and Sylvia Dawson Dumire. Also preceding her in death in 1980 was her first husband, Pat Grow. Survivors include her second husband, William Darr, one daughter, Twila Atwell and companion Jerry Collett, three brothers; Virgil Dumire, Elkins, WV, Ronald Dumire, Philippi, WV, Jerry Dumire, Parsons, WV, one sister; Donnie Eskridge, Thomas, WV, two grandchildren; Patrick Nathaniel McCullen and Brennon Michael Atwell.

Mary was employed as an accountant by Canaan Valley State Park for many years. She was a Protestant by faith and she enjoyed reading and doing needlepoint.

Friends were received on Friday January 10 from 5-8 p.m. at Hinkle Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on Saturday January 11 at 1 p.m. at Hinkle Funeral Chapel with Rev. Neil Parsons officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
