Matthew Bervin Nestor

Matthew Bervin Nestor, 61, a resident of Parsons, passed from this life Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at The St. George Medical Clinic.

Matthew was born on Thursday, March 13, 1958, in Parsons, a son of the late Harold Nestor and Ramona Sherman Nestor.  On June 19, 2004, at Bull Run, he married Phyllis Ann Godwin Nestor who survives.  They had celebrated fifteen years of marriage.

Left to cherish Matthew’s memory is a stepdaughter, Lorraine Eisenhour, a granddaughter, Alannah Eisenhour, one sister, Bernettie Nestor, one brother, Jerry Nestor, a half-sister, Lela Bohon, and numerous nieces and nephews,

Preceding Matthew in death besides his parents was two brothers, Larry and Gary Nestor.

Matthew attended Parsons High School.  He had worked in carpentry and construction.  Matthew enjoyed hunting, camping, and spending time outdoors.  He was quite the storyteller.  He loved his family and spending time with his granddaughter.

Visitation was held at the Hostetler Funeral Home on Sunday, August 25, 2019, from 1 until 3 p.m., the funeral hour.  Rev. Pat Cassidy officiated and then Matthew’s request for cremation was honored.  The Hostetler Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements for Matthew Bervin Nestor.  Send online condolences to the family at www.hostetlerfuneralhome.com.
