Michael Lloyd Booth, age 62, lost his battle with cancer on December 7, 2016. He was the son of Marlyn June Hansford Ciminio, and the Late Lloyd Alfonso Booth.
Mike passed on day for all Americans is a day that will live in infamy, the attack on Pearl Harbor, but for those that knew Mike, it is a day our brother in Christ was sent home.
Throughout his battle with cancer, his big heart for others never faltered, nor did his memory and joy of reminiscing about the past.
On August 6, 1954, the seasons of Mike’s life began in Elkins, WV. His life was filled with many adventures and passions. He found football in high school and graduated with the Parsons High School class of 1972, and his patriotic loyalty lead him to serve in the Navy right after school. After the navy, he found his calling and passion for cooking and creating delicious masterpieces. In the fall season of his life, he found a way to explore the US, and combine his other passion of driving, by handling a big rig back and forth across America. His keen sense for driving rigs, led him to serve his country a second time in Iraq, just a few short years ago. In the winter season of his life, his adventures led him back to West Virginia, where he was able to spend his last few months surrounded by his friends and family.
Mike is survived by one daughter, Diane Booth Rogers, his Mother, Marlyn June Ciminio, his two sisters, Ellen Shaffer and Marlena Booth, and one brother, Brian Booth.
He also left behind family (aunts, uncles, cousins), many a friend, and his ever loyal cat, Sam.
A memorial service will be held at one o’clock on Sunday, December 18 at Covenant Baptist Church,148 Union Street, Uniontown, Pa.
