Mildred Elizabeth Moore Turek, 96, of Wheeling, WV passed away on Friday November 10, 2017, in Peterson hospital.
She was born on December 15, 1920 in Davis, WV daughter of the late Lee and Sarah (Baker) Moore.
Mildred was a homemaker and a member of Elm Grove United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women; Winsome Bible Class; Agape Circle and the visitation committee. Mildred was passionate about her religion and loved the congregation of Elm Grove United Methodist. Mildred and her husband loved to travel, and made visits to every state with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl F. Turek; brothers, Harvey, Bud, and Richard Moore; sister, Alice Fortini.
She is survived by her daughter, Sara Applegarth of Wheeling, WV; sister, Thelma Dillon; brother Charles (Emma) Moore; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Moore, Thelma Turek and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation, Mildred will be laid to rest with her husband Carl and The Davis Cemetery in Davis, WV. Arrangements by Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling WV. (304-242-2311)
