Nancy Mae Hile Fansler Rowan

Nancy Mae Hile Fansler Rowan, 68, a resident of Mabie passed from this life Friday, June 29, 2018, at home. She had been in her usual health and death was unexpected.


Nancy was born Saturday, October 8, 1949 in Leadmine, a daughter of the late Albert Junior Hile and Lylah Janice Kight Hile. She was twice married, first to Phillip Fansler and on August 7, 2004, she married Dellis Rowan who survives in Mabie.

Left to cherish Nancy’s memory are five children, Jamie Danielle Nestor and husband, Rocky of Parsons, Aaron Albert Dale Fansler and wife, Kirsten of Idaho Falls, ID, Andrew Phillip Fansler of Parsons, Jimmy Rowan and wife, Sherry and John Rowan and wife, Valerie, all of Beverly, two sisters, Donna Cunningham and Joyce Louk and husband, Randy, of Horseshoe Run, 15 grandchildren, Leslie, Logan, Kane, Zoe, Kandace, Hunter, Maddie, Rory, Jasmine, Blake, Eli, Gracie, Sawyer, Braxton and Addison and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Nancy in death besides her parents was a brother-in-law, Alby Cunningham.

Nancy attended Pleasant Vale School and graduated Parsons High School with the Class of 1968. She had been employed as a caregiver at Colonial Place in Elkins, and held other positions at Western Union, Krogers, Big T Restaurant and the Tucker County Senior Center. Nancy dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren very much. She was a Methodist by faith.

A visitation was held on Monday night from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Graveside services were held at Bonnefield Cemetery on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 4 p.m. Rev. Paula Lowther officiated, and interment followed.
