Olin Fred Simmons (74) of Alexandria, VA passed away Friday, May 23rd, 2025. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lawetta Ann Simmons; he is survived by his beloved son, Jesse Simmons; and cherished granddaughters, Cristina Snow and Danielle Carr along with his great grand kids, Christopher, Jason & Justin Hopkins; and his brothers and sisters, Thelma Eves, Erma DeWitt, Patsy Bonner, Ruby Simmons, Cindy Martin, Virginia Flynn, Mary Mulvihill & Frank Simmons. He will truly be missed by many.
Olin graduated high school in 1969. He started working for AT&T in 1970 and continued through 1993. After that he went to work for Reston Hospital Center from 1993 to 2025. He also worked part time in the evening fueling aircraft at National Airport from 1995 – 2015. In his spare time you could find him either fishing, boating, camping or at a car show.
Olin wished to be cremated so he can be beside his wife of 30 yrs, Lawetta. There will be a service held at the Cemetery with the date to be determined at a later date. The service will be held at Mount Comfort Cemetery located at 6600 South Kings Highway, Alexandria, VA 22306.
