On April 21, 2020 Orlando Alfred Ferruso (Mike, Babe) passed away at home. Beloved and devoted husband of the late Alta Louella Ferruso (McDonald), devoted father to Judy Hobson (husband David) and Pat Ferruso, dear grandfather of Mathew Hobson (wife Noelle), Michael Hobson and the late Thomas Michael Ferruso. He was the son of Mike and Filomena Ferruso of Thomas. He lived in Thomas before moving to Baltimore in 1956,
Orlando served four years in the US Air force, received a Liberal Arts Degree in History from Davis & Elkins College and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from the University of Maryland College Park. He retired from the Baltimore County Public School System after 33 years of service.
He is survived by brother Joseph Ferruso and was preceded in death by brothers and sisters John Ferruso, Esther Helmick, Otto Ferruso, Mary Suder, Virginia Wilson and Agnes Ann Ferruso.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, visitation and interment were private.
