Patty Heitz

Ms. Patty Heitz, age 72, passed away on October 4, 2021.

 

Patty was born in Harman, WV to Joseph Heitz and Renora (Hedrick) Heitz on August 18, 1949.

 

Following high school graduation, Patty went to work for the Department of Defense. She worked her way up and attended college at night. She became a Contracting Officer for the Department of Defense buying aircraft, specifically V-22 Osprey Tiltrotors. Patty worked for the Government for over 45 years and was very proud of all service men and women.

 

She is survived by an aunt, Doris Hedrick; an uncle, Doyle Patch; cousins Bill Heitz, Elizabeth Heitz, Nancy Johnson (Robert), Sharon Strong (Greg) Frederick Smith, Raymond Harr, Bill Harr, Jeff Harr, Rick Hedrick, Kathy Johnston, Karen Bender, Lana Landry, Hugh Pennington, Steve Pennington, Chris Hedrick,  Brian Hedrick, Mark Hedrick, Clay Hedrick, Tracey Sidwa, Randy Thornton and Scott Thornton; sister-in-law Vanessa Heitz; her beloved “son” Michael DePeal (Ashlee); and her “adopted” Texas family, Coleman and Alice Archer and “adopted sister” Kerri Pennington.

 

She was preceded in death by Joseph “Clay” Heitz (Father), Renora “Nora” (Hedrick) Heitz (Mother), and Allen Heitz (Brother).
