Pauline Louise Phillips Cousin, age 82, of Hambleton, WV, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025, at her home.

She was born October 6, 2023, at the WV Hambelton, a daughter of the late Cecil Jones and a brother of the late Donald Jones.

She attended Parsons High School with the class of 1961. She worked at Reidbord Brothers for 25 years in Elkins, retiring in 1962-1964. He had been employed as a heavy equipment operator at the recreational complex in Canaan Valley.

She had a love for nature and all the small animals. She would feed the deer, squirrels, and birds. Pauline was very family-oriented and loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Pauline is survived by her husband of 63 years, Carl “Lefty” Phillips; one son, Paul Phillips and wife Lisa of Davis; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her extended family at Sundale Nursing Home, where Pauline was a resident many friends and was loved by many.

Also surviving are Pauline’s two sisters, Sherry L. Phillips and Brenda G. Eye and husband Roger.

She was a graduate of Parsons High School Class of 1961. After high school, she obtained her associate’s degree in business from Fairmont State University. She had worked at the Davis Water Falls on thirty years. She had been employed with Buffalo Coal Company.

Wayne had also worked as a bus driver for Tucker County Schools, as a Deputy for the Tucker County Sheriff’s Office and retired as a guard from the Elkins Hutchens Correctional Center. He was a member of the H.W. Daniels Post #29 American Legion, the Tygart Valley Post #3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Tucker County Veterans Association Honor Guard. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play baseball. Wayne was a member of the Riverview Chapel Church.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10 AM to 11 AM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 AM. The Rev. James Snyder will officiate and interment will follow in the Parsons City Cemetery. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Pauline Louise Phillips. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
