Rebecca “Becky” Marie Jones McDonald, 35, a resident of Parsons, passed from this life Monday, April 16, 2018, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family and under the care of Mountain Hospice.
Becky was born Tuesday, August 10, 1982 in Elkins a daughter of the late Norman Gene Jones II and Florence ‘Flo’ Mae Hylkema Antolini. On July 19, 2008 in Parsons, she was united in marriage to William “Billy” McDonald who survives.
Left to cherish Becky’s memory is two brothers, David Klager and Chad Newton, and one sister, Jo Lynn Simmons, and several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding Becky in death besides her parents were her paternal grandparents, Norman Gene Jones Sr. and Pearl Jones.
Becky grew up in Coalton and was a graduate Elkins High School with the class 2001 and Randolph County Vo Tech as a CNA. She spent many years of her life caring for others as a CNA having worked at the VA Nursing Home in Clarksburg, Mansfield Place, Barbour County’s Good Samaritan Society, Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center, Nella’s Inc., Cortland Acres and Tucker County Senior Center. She was a faithful servant and believer in Christ and attended Riverview Chapel. Her memory will forever be in our hearts. Becky has fought the good fight, she has finished her race, she kept the faith. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.
Becky loved her family and her church. She enjoyed gospel music. She had three fur babies that she adored, Miss Kitty, Miss Ginger, and Miss Cricket.
A visitation was held at the Hostetler Funeral Home on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until noon the funeral hour. Rev. James Snyder officiated, and interment followed in K of P Cemetery in Belington.
