Roger Lee Miller, age 78 years, a resident of Hambleton, WV departed this life Friday evening, June 5, 2026, at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Crystal Springs, Elkins, WV. Death was unexpected.

He was born Wednesday, November 19, 1947, at Altoona, Pa, a son of the late Roger W. Miller and Shirley McKee Miller. He was twice married. First to Rebecca Dean of Altoona, PA. and second, on September 8, 1979, at Altoona, PA, to Kathleen L. Wilson Miller, who survives at Hambleton, WV.

Surviving are one son, David W. Miller of FL; one daughter, JoAne Lantz; three grandchildren, Jordan/Shasha Miller of Portland, Aliza Sollenberger (Devon) of Altoona, PA, and Hunter Learn of Altoona, PA; one great grandson, Devon Sollenberger, Jr.; three sisters, Deborah Miller of Hollidaysburg, Nancy Fowkes and Lynnette Ivory (Ty), all of Duncansville; one brother, Kenneth Miller of Altoona, PA; three cousins, Nick Bell of Altoona, PA, Steve Bell of Ridley Park and Sandra Rager of FL.

He was a 1965 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in Vietnam and Korea, as a heavy equipment operator. After his time in the military, he was an Apple computer representative, selling to several school districts. He attended Vo Tech School for computers and later obtained his bachelor’s degree at Mount Aloysius College. Roger was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed bicycling, backpacking, hiking and fishing and studied several types of martial arts.

Mr. Miller’s request for cremation was honored. A memorial service will take place at a later date. The family suggest that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the Hinkle House Food Pantry, 102 1st St., Parsons, WV 26287 or Five Rivers Library, 301 Walnut St., Parsons, WV 26287. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of the arrangements for Roger Lee Miller. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
