Stephen Lee “Wildman” Plum

Stephen Lee “Wildman” Plum, age 62 years, a resident of Hambleton, WV departed this life Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at his home. He had been in his usual health and death was unexpected.

He was born Saturday, June 2, 1951 at Parsons, WV, a son of the late Joseph Ralph and Dorothy Marie Judy Plum.

Surviving are two brothers, Donald Joseph Plum and wife Elizabeth of Maurertown, VA, and Frank Eugene Plum of Winchester, VA; two sisters, Mary Ann Simpson and husband Glenn and Marty A. Nestor and husband Dale G., all of Parsons, WV; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are one brother, James Allen Plum; and one sister, Dottie Jane Plum.

He was a graduate of Parsons High School with the Class of 1968. He was a former employee of the Kingsford Charcoal Co., Hinchcliff Lumber Co., and the West Virginia Department of Highways. At the time of his death he was an employee of the City of Parsons. He was a high diver, avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. He was a talented musician, playing the violin, guitar and he especially enjoyed playing the piano.

The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Wednesday, January 8, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. The Rev James Snyder will officiate and interment will follow at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Stephen Lee “Wildman” Plum. Condolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
