Susan Louise (Kelley) Sharp

The Lord has taken another Angel home, Susan Louise (Kelley) Sharp, 60, of Hambleton, WV passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Susan was born August 16, 1960 in Alexandria, VA.

She is the daughter of Delores and the late Leon Kelley. Susan is survived by her loving husband David Ison Sharp, who she married on March 29, 1980. Also surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, Robert Andrew (Shelly) Sharp from Zanesville, OH. Three sisters, Sharon Cassidy, Rebecca (Joseph) Haddix, Leadmine, WV and Melissa (Lee) Kelley, Bridgeport, WV. Susan was also preceded in death by one brother Lawrence Paul “Skippy” Kelley. Susan’s grandchildren are Marika Vineyard and Monataya Matheney and Brody Yerian. Great Grandchildren are Airabella Grace and Creed Channing.

Nieces and nephews are Paul, Jr., Amanda & Chris Cassidy. Kim, Anna, and Ava Wilmoth, Beth Puffenburger, Tristin, Andrew, and Kinley, Jonathan (Jennifer) Rosier, Trey & Morgan Key, Jenna (Brent) Kidwell and Ember, Hailee Haddix and Wyatt, Bentley Haddix, Logan (Hannah) Evans, Annabeth, Payton and Paislee Evans. And her loving boxer, JJ, who stayed by her side.

For 6 years Susan was a Nurse’s Aide at Cuppett Weeks and Dennett Road Nursing Homes in Oakland, MD. While living in Mt. Storm Susan was active with the Mt. Storm Volunteer Fire Department and an EMT for 9 years.

For years while living in Pocahontas County Susan, Dave and son, Bobby sponsored holiday parties and Christmas for the Kids of the community. Susan was active in the Cass Volunteer Fire Department, a CPR instructor and member of the Pocahontas County Search & Rescue Team. She also worked 4 years as an Event Coordinator at Snowshoe.

Susan was a member of the Leadmine United Methodist Church and Leadmine CERT. Susan loved to crochet, spend time with loved ones and treated everyone as family.
Following Susan’s wishes she will be cremated, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
