Theresa Janice Turner Long, 65, of Davis, West Virginia, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at her home
She was born July 20, 1951 in Elkins, WV and was the daughter of the late Ed Turner and Catherine Arbaugh.
She was raised from a small child by the late Delphia and Lawrence Judy, who she knew as mom and dad.
On June 9, 1985, she married her wonderful husband, Arie Long, who has been by her side along the way.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Parsons and had worked in housekeeping at Canaan Valley Resort for sixteen years. She also worked at Big John’s Family Fixins for several years, at Pendletonheim Condos for five years and at the Village Inn Motel in Canaan Valley. She loved working and making new friends, and enjoyed going to Cortland Acres Nursing Home where she made friends with several of the residents.

One daughter – Kimberly Arbaugh and her husband, Chad of Parsons, WV
One son – Woodie Arbaugh and his wife, Heather of Kerens
Three sisters – Annas Turner and her companion, Alfonso Falcon of Verona, VA
Sue Vance and her husband, Bruce of Onego, WV
JoAnn Hedrick and her husband, Gary of Elkins, WV
One brother – Dwyer Judy and his wife, Sandy of Whitmer, WV
Four grandchildren – Darren Nelson, Ben Arbaugh, Dakota Eye and Caitlyn Eye
One great-granddaughter – Nevaeh Nelson
Many nieces and nephews, including two very special nieces, Michelle Vance and Chrissy Hedrick who stuck with her all the way.
Two very special friends, Pauline Cox and Sherry Smith
And her special pet, Delilah “Little Bit”.
Theresa was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Arbaugh, one grandson, Ethan Arbaugh, one sister, Edna Louise Bennett and her mother, Catherine Arbaugh.
The family received friends from 6 – 8 o.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Parsons.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 21 at the First Baptist Church of Parsons with Pastor Greg Smith and Pastor Allen Crosten officiating.
Interment will be at the Bethel Cemetery at Job, West Virginia.
