Vikki Pittman Mowery, 61, of Harman, passed from this life peacefully Sunday, May 26, 2024, at her home.

Vikki was born Friday, September 14, 1962, in Parsons, a daughter of the late Frank Pittman and Sue Ann Carr Pittman.   On September 25, 1999, she married Ralph Mowery, Sr.  Her grandfather, the late Rev. Floyd Carr, helped with the ceremony.  Vikki felt it was a great honor.

Left to cherish Vikki’s memory are three stepchildren, Jonathan and Ralph, Jr., both of Harman, Melva Wilhelm of Keyser, siblings, John Pittman and Tira Pittman, two very special sisters, Rebecca Booth of Hendricks and Kathy Jo Hoffner of Mechanicsville, VA., a very special friend, Brenda O’Brian.

Preceding her in death was a stepson, Robert Mowery.

Vikki graduated Tucker County High School with the Class of 1980 and Moorehead State College Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Veterinarian medicine.  She had worked at Pineview Veterinarian Hospital in Oakland, MD and at the Tucker County Animal Shelter.  She was a great animal lover.  Vikki was a council member for the town of Harman and attended the Dryfork Assembly of God Church.

Vikki donated her body to science.  The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations to the Tucker County Animal Shelter, 586 Brooklyn Heights Rd., Parsons, WV  26287.

The Hostetler Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Vikki Pittman Mowery.  Send online condolences to the family at www.hostetlerfuneralhome.com.
