Wanda Pauline Miller Hinkle

Wanda Pauline Miller Hinkle, age 83 years, a resident of Parsons, WV departed this life early Sunday, June 8, 2014 at her home.  She had been in her usual health and died peacefully.

WandaHinkleShe was born Friday, March 20, 1931 at Parsons, WV, a daughter of the late Oscar C. and Edith Grace Lockrey Miller.    On March 23, 1951 at Clinton, TN, she was married to Paul Shelton Hinkle, who preceded her in death December 15, 2003.

She is survived by one nephew, James Anderson and wife Nancy of Oak Ridge, TN., and her niece, Debbie Anderson Roberts and husband Michael of Harriman, TN., and several other nephews and nieces.

She is the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by four brothers, Ronald Miller, Dale Miller, Ray Miller and Vance Miller and three sisters, Elva Anderson, Iva Waybright and Hazel Nava.

She was a graduate of Parsons High School with the Class of 1949 and a graduate of Berea College.  She was a former Secretary for the Boeing Company.  She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Parsons.  Wanda and her husband Paul enjoyed traveling and had visited most every country in the world.  She enjoyed her flowers and plants, and she loved her two cats.

The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.   Final rites were conducted at the funeral home parlor on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 11:30 a.m.  The Rev. Jeff Anderson officiated and interment followed at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV.  The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for Wanda Pauline Miller Hinkle.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
