Warren E. Knotts, 58, a resident of Fairmont, and a life-long resident of Tucker County, passed from this life Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at home.  He had been in his usual health and death was unexpected.

Warren was born on Wednesday, December 13, 1961, in Clinton, OK, a son of the late William Arnold Knotts and Iola Fay Miller Knotts.  On May 25, 1985, in Oakland, MD, he married the former Barbara Pauline Martin, who survives.  They had celebrated thirty-five years of marriage.

Left to cherish Warren’s memory are Barbara’s two sons, Jason Bailey and Luke Bailey and their families, a brother, Craig W. Knotts and wife, Mary of Hedgesville, a sister, Louise J. Fegel and husband, Justin of Stillwater, OK, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Warren in death besides his parents was one beloved niece, Karley Fegel, and one nephew, Todd Manko.

Warren was a graduate of Clinton High School in Clinton, OK with the class of 1980. He obtained his associate degree from Potomac State and a double degree from WVU in Geology and Ground Water Hydrology.  He worked for various companies on the East coast and more recently at All Star Ecology in Fairmont.  Warren was a Nazarene by faith.

Warren was extremely talented and played organ, piano, guitar, and harmonica.

A visitation was held at the Hostetler Fu officiated, and interment followed at Bonnefield Cemetery on Horseshoe Run.

As we continue following guidelines from the CDC and Gov. Jim Justice’s recent mandate, facial coverings are required for those attending.

The Hostetler Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Warren Eugene Knotts.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.hostetlerfuneralhome.com.
