Wayne Curtis Kellar, 65, of Elkwood, VA passed away Monday, November 4, 2013. Mr. Kellar was born in Elkins, West Virginia to Kenneth Curtis Kellar and Laverna Cox Kellar; served his country in the U.S. Army; retired from AT&T after 32 years’ service and was a volunteer firefighter for several years with the Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department. Always a thoughtful person, Wayne readily struck up conversation and lent a hand to anyone who needed it. He will truly be missed by those who knew him and loved him.
Mr. Curtis is survived by his wife Mary Susan Kellar; his son, Troy and his wife Cathy of Chantilly, VA; his brother Chris and his wife Rebecca of Darlington, MD and his four grandchildren, Nathan and Justin Kellar, Michael LaPorte and Michelle Clayton. He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Kellie Kellar; his brother, Donald Craig and Rita Kellar, whom his father married upon the death of his mother.
A graveside funeral service was held Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery, Chandler Street, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Jerry Hutchinson officiating.
