Knotts,WilliamJosephWilliam “Billy” Joseph Knotts, 49, a resident of Hambleton, passed from this life Friday, May 6, 2016. He had been in his usual health and death was unexpected.
Billy was born Wednesday, July 13, 1966 in Pontiac, Michigan, a son of the late Morris Edward Knotts and Sandra Jean Helmick Mason with whom he had made his home.
Also left to cherish Billy’s memory are his step- father, Burl Mason of Hambleton, his three children, Jennifer Bush and husband, Mike, Cameron Knotts, and Paige Plotts, all of Parsons, one sister, Peggy Bonner and husband, Carl of Dry Fork, one step- brother, Burl “Junior” Mason of Hambleton, one grandson, Tyler Bush and several aunts and uncles and cousins.
Billy attended the schools of Tucker County, and had worked as a Tree Cutter for Asplundh and Penn Line tree trimming services. He enjoyed racing four wheelers and dirt bikes, working with RC model cars, and all sorts of tinkering. He had a big heart and would help anyone he could whether it be doing body work on cars, odd jobs, or helping them trim trees whereby he earned the nickname “Squirrel” due to his ability to climb trees.
A private family service will be held after which the family’s request for cremation will be honored. The Summerfield Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for William “Billy” Joseph Knotts. Send online condolences to the family at www.summerfieldfuneralhome.com
