Two more cases hit the news this week of just how cruel people can be. First right here in West Virginia, we had a baby that died of alcohol poisoning. The parents found the child face down in her crib and called 911. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. Deputies stated that living conditions in the home were very poor with roaches and no running water. The post-mortem examination report found that the infant’s liver contained ethanol with a reading of 3.210, which would be fatal in an infant child.

The parents stated they would allegedly take alcohol and rub on the infant child’s gums and around her mouth when she would get irritable and fussy. Momma Said, “That might have been solved by just holding her or maybe feeding her.” Ironically the mother’s first name was Angel.

Second case was in Florida where a child was beaten over the head with a kitchen pot because the 33-year-old adult did not like the way he washed the dishes. WHAT!!! First responders made contact with the nine-year-old boy and he told the police she became angry because she did not approve of the way he had completed the task. After allegedly striking him in the head and causing a large laceration she was unsatisfied with the punishment so she used the pot to strike the child’s left hand breaking his finger. She also used the pot to beat him on the arms and back before kicking him in the stomach. Also, the relationship with the subject and the child was not revealed. Momma Said, “Why can’t you just be happy that a nine-year-old did the dishes at all?”

I think like punishment should be done to all these adults. Make them drink rubbing alcohol or beat them every day with metal objects and see how they like it. Momma Said, “An eye for an eye is too good for people like this.” We were punished as children but nothing like I see and hear today. I don’t know why people have children if they are going to make them live in horrible conditions and situations. If you do not want the child, there are plenty of loving couples out there that could give a child a beautiful life experience and just let them live and be children.
