The Parsons Advocate

Well here it is, Christmas Day and the year is winding down fast. It has been a tumultuous year to say the least.  With everything that has happened with my brother and the state of the country I will be glad to say goodbye to the year 2024.  I am hoping that 2025 brings big changes for everyone.  Momma Said, “Hope is a very big four letter word.”

We can live every day as if it is our last or we can buckle down, press ahead and make a future for everyone.  The children of this world deserve a better place than what we have now.  I hope that one day we can look ahead and actually see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Momma Said, “Hopefully it will not be the light that you see when your time is up.”

I just spoke of a better world and the news flashes an alert about a missing 15 month old child, another school shooting with one student and one teacher, along with the 15 year old female shooter, dead and seven injured.  We also had a local standoff with a gunman not 50 miles from here.  Momma Said, “That light is getting dimmer by the minute.”

This season should be a time of joy and renewal not despair and death.  I wish all the wars would stop, the drones would find what they are looking for, or just pick me up and fly me away, all the madness and mayhem of the world would just magically go away.  I know that is not possible, but this is a time of miracles so maybe we will get one.  MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM MOMMA AND GRAN!!!
