Hopefully sometime in July I will be eating some fresh strawberries from my new patch. I repurposed an old wooden coffee table that was about 3”x3” and it worked out perfectly. Now I have an old netting from a trampoline that I am going to use to make a shade awning for them. Momma Said, “Rescue, renew, reuse everything that you can to save the world.”
That is my motto and I try to do that in everything that I can. I wouldn’t call myself a hoarder but I can see a purpose in things that other people throw away. So here I am up to my knees in other people’s stuff. I hope to start cleaning out some of my stuff and see if other people can use some of it as well.
I used to make Christmas decorations and I have an outbuilding full of things to use for Christmas. Maybe that will be my first attempt to scale down some inventory. I need to make more room for my furniture renovations and that is one way to do it. I am going to try as soon as the weather cooperates and I can operate outside.
That was the reason for my third outbuilding, a place to work and now it is full so I am back to square one. I need my furniture to start selling better so I can have more space. Momma Said, “Waste not, want not, I just can’t seem to pass other people’s waste that they don’t want.”
Air Fryer Chicken Thighs
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (2 – 2 1/2 pounds)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1⁄2 teaspoon onion powder
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
1⁄2 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) and pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix the olive oil with the garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper, and oregano. Rub the spice paste all over both sides of the chicken thighs.
Arrange the thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, skin side down. Cook for 10 minutes, flip them over, and cook for another 10-15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (75 degrees Celsius).
Take the chicken out of the air fryer and let it rest for 2-3 minutes. Serve with potatoes, salad, or your favorite dipping sauce.
