Every week, I try to think of something that mom instilled in me to pass on.

She was such a wealth of information and it seemed as if she knew a little about everything. I miss her so much and there was so much more for me to learn. I wish I could have had more time with her, so when I see kids today not paying attention to their parents, it really hurts. Momma Said, “They are missing so much and don’t even realize it.”

I was at the doctor’s office the other day and just looking around the waiting room, all but one person and myself were not on a phone. Everywhere you go these days people have all their attention focused on one thing, their electronic device. It is sad to go out to eat and see people can’t put the phone down even to eat. I just couldn’t see Mom doing that. For one thing, she liked to talk to people. She could start a conversation with a total stranger and have a new friend by the end of that conversation.

Momma Said,
“If you want to know a person, look into their eyes.”

She had a way to bring out the best of people and that is something that is hard to find anymore. People want to text and tweet today and I don’t think you can get the same affect as talking face to face. She would not like that, she was a hands on type of person. Momma Said, “If you want to know a person, look into their eyes.”

I wish everyone could have known her, she was a force to be reckoned with. She was a teacher, a friend and the best mom in the world. She was an amazing grandma and I feel sad that all her grandkids and great grandkids didn’t get to know her. She would have spoiled every one of them. I am sure if they spent time with her, they wouldn’t have time for their phones. Momma Said, “There would have been cooking lessons and many story times.” I miss you mom.
