Turner’s Tidbits

In honor of  West Virginia Day, June 20, 1863, I submit this photo depicting a visit to Harman High School by Senator & Mrs. Robert C. Byrd. When thinking of West Virginia and its many contributions to the USA, it is easy to think of the late great Senator Robert C. Byrd. This photo includes (left to Right) Mrs. Erma Ora James Byrd; Senator Robert C. Byrd; Glen Gainer, Principal, Harman High School; Phyllis Harman Turner, pinning a rose to the Senator’s lapel; Paula Teter Harper; Terry Sponaugle Teter.
