This is a photo from Sugarlands probably taken in late 1800’s to early 1900’s. One of the men is Pete Helmick, I am not sure which one. It is reflective of the time when most people in the family could play at least one instrument of some type. Usually families would gather on Sundays for a meal and afterwards folks would bring out their instruments and begin to play and sing. Such pictures as this one takes a person back to an easier, more relaxed time. If you can identify anyone from the photo, please let me know.
