Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College Board of Governors Adds Kimberly Sherman and Shawn Dilly

(Moorefield, WV) – Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College is pleased to announce the addition of Kimberly Sherman and Shawn Dilly to its Board of Governors.


Sherman is the employment manager at Pilgrim’s Pride, one of the top employers of Eastern’s Advanced Manufacturing program, and has Master of Business Administration degrees in international business, healthcare management and management, and is currently a doctoral candidate for a Ph.D. in philosophy in organizational leadership.

She is additionally the mother of four boys, one of which is a student at Eastern, and considers them her greatest accomplishments. A bibliophile, Sherman is actively engaged in horticulture and enjoys painting in her free time.
Dilly has been the Superintendent of Mineral County Schools, which supports 14 schools and just under 4,200 students, since July 2014. He previously served as the Administration Director of South Branch Career and Technical Center in Petersburg and filled a variety of administrative and classroom roles throughout his 18 years in public education.
Actively engaged in the community, Dilly is a member of the Greater Cumberland Committee, District Consortium for Economic Development, West Virginia Association of School Administrators, West Virginia Association of School Human Resource Officers and member of the Mineral County Chamber of Commerce. Currently finalizing a dissertation needed to obtain his Ph.D. in Education specializing in Leadership, Policy and Change in Education, Dilly has been acknowledged as a contributing editor to Dr. Kevin Fleming’s 2016 book,Redefining the Goal.
Both board members are looking forward to collaborating in an effort to further Eastern’s mission of providing personal attention to students’ educational goals and customized solutions to workforce training needs unmatched within the region.
“I love the way that board members are so respectful of each other,” said Sherman. “Everyone’s ideas are respected and it gets the imagination and creative wheels turning.”
