Moorefield, W.Va. – Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College (Eastern WVCTC) welcomes two new staff members to campus this week: Thomas Porcella as the CDL training specialist and Felicia Constable as the campus service worker.

Porcella, a Baltimore, Maryland, native who now resides in Petersburg, West Virginia, brings more than 25 years of professional driving experience to the role. Throughout his career, he has operated a wide range of vehicles, including tractor-trailers — vans, reefers, lowboys, flatbeds, end dumps, tankers, and Landolls — as well as dump trucks, rollbacks, bucket trucks, and digger derricks.

He has worked for a variety of regional and national companies, including RCS Trucking, Smith Transport, McKee Foods, the West Virginia Department of Highways, and others across Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.

In addition to his driving background, Porcella worked for 10 years as an electrician, servicing a range of commercial and residential properties. He holds a Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) with doubles/triples and tanker endorsements.

Porcella is the father of three children; a 31-year-old daughter and two sons, ages 15 and 16. He looks forward to using his industry knowledge and real-world experience to help prepare students for successful careers in commercial driving.

Constable, a Moorefield native and graduate of Moorefield High School, joins Eastern WVCTC as a campus service worker. She earned an Associate of Arts in general studies from Potomac State College in 2006 and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Shepherd University in 2008.

Before joining Eastern, Constable served as a lead teacher at the Hardy County Child Care Center, where she provided a safe, nurturing environment for children and maintained the facility’s operations. She also previously worked as a nurse receptionist at Hahn Medical Practices, Inc., assisting patients and supporting clinical operations.

Constable and her spouse, Eric Constable, have two children, Noah and Tucker. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, whether playing sports, landscaping, gardening, or relaxing by the fire pit. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and cheering on her children at sporting events, especially football, which is her favorite sport.

When asked about her experience at Eastern so far, Constable said, “I love how laid back the atmosphere is, and how nice and supportive my coworkers have been.”

Eastern WVCTC is proud to add these talented individuals to its team as the college continues to grow and serve the Potomac Highlands region.
