The Tucker County High School boys basketball team is back on the hardwood for their annual summer league in Keyser. The Mt. Lions have some new faces and some familiar ones cracking the rotation. Returning to the starting lineup are soon-to-be seniors Cayden Arnold and Ethan Cummings, fellow soon-to-be senior big man Drew Simmons, and junior Ty Ricottilli. The fifth starter for the Mt. Lions was transfer Braylon Ward, a skilled offensive threat who adds more scoring opportunities to the roster.
Tucker took on two teams this past week in Keyser. First, they faced the AAAA Knights of Preston County High School. The Mt. Lions won this one handily, 78-48. Tucker then tipped off against the hometown AAA Keyser Golden Tornadoes. The Mt. Lions finished this one in similar fashion, winning again, 72-42.
Arnold, Cummings, and Ward led the way for the Mt. Lions on the offensive side. TC will return to action next week in Keyser for more summer basketball action.
