The Spanish students from Tucker Valley Elementary Middle School took a field trip to the International Festival in Morgantown on Sept 19.
Students got to experience food, clothing and articles from Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Africa, Taiwan, Iran and Argentina.
Students stated in a survey upon their return that their favorite parts of the trip were meeting the people from different cultures, the displays from the different countries, the singing and dancing from various cultures and all the different foods that they got to experience.
Students ate foods like baklava, dates, dried cherries, choco-balls and dumplings. The students expressed that they had a great time and would like to go again next year. You can see more on the website at: tuckervalleyschool.com.
