The Tucker County Golf Team traveled last Monday to Stonewall Jackson Resort, where the Titans of Gilmer County would play host. The Mt. Lions would bring home a third-place finish, closely behind strong regional competitors, Dodge County and Gilmer County.
Tuesday the Mt. Lions hosted a match at Canaan Valley State Park, where the Petersburg Vikings would take the win behind a school-record performance. Tucker, again, would finish third in the contest with senior, Brayden Gray, finishing sixth overall. The Mt. Lions would finish the week at home at the Holly Meadows Golf Course finishing second, just a few strokes behind the winning Bulldogs of Tygarts Valley. Tucker County’s sophomore golfer, Nate Davis, would go on to earn low medalist honors in the match.
