The Davis Thomas Bears took the court against West Preston in a competitive volleyball matchup featuring both junior varsity and varsity action.
The Davis Thomas junior varsity team battled West Preston through three sets.
West Preston opened the match with a 25-16 victory in the first set. The Bears responded in the second set, fighting back for a 25-23 win to even the match at one set apiece.
Karman Shockey and Addison Fansler each contributed four points during the second-set victory, helping Davis Thomas stay within striking distance and eventually close out the set.
West Preston answered in the deciding third set, winning 25-19 to take the JV match.
The Davis Thomas varsity team delivered a solid showing, winning both sets against West Preston.
The Bears controlled the first set, earning a 25-18 victory. Harper Wilt led the way with seven points as Davis Thomas established its momentum early.
Davis Thomas continued its strong play in the second set, pulling away for a 25-10 win to complete the two-set sweep.
Elizabeth DelSignore led the Bears with eight points in the second set, while Avery Eichelberger added six points. Their contributions helped Davis Thomas maintain control and finish the varsity match with another decisive set victory.
