The Davis Thomas Bears picked up another win last week over the Harman Panthers. The Bears jumped out to an early 17–5 lead and held Harman scoreless in the second to lead 34–5 at the half. Davis Thomas kept its foot on the gas and finished the job with a final score of 38–14. Elijah O’Brien led the Bears in scoring with 12 points, Westyn Huffman followed with 8 points, and Kevin Kerr finished with 6 points.

DT also took on the Moorefield Yellowjackets. Moorefield proved to be too much for the Bears as they took the win 44–23. Nolan Luzier led the offensive attack with 8 points, O’Brien netted 7 points, and Huffman and Jarrett Dearborn each had 3 points.

The Bears finished the week taking on Bruceton Middle. DT was in a fight the whole way, trailing 7–2 after the first but narrowing the margin to just 4 at 20–16 at the half. The Bears found themselves down 6 at 33–27 heading into the final period; they battled to the end but fell short of the comeback at 38–33. O’Brien again led the Bears with 13 points; Luzier and Kerr both collected 8 points in the loss. The Bears are slated to hit the road for three games next week, traveling to Harman on Monday, Moorefield on Wednesday, and Bruceton on Friday.
