Davis-Thomas Girls’ & Boys’ Basketball Open Season

BAKER – The Davis-Thomas Middle School Boys’ team opened the season on the road at East Hardy on Wednesday December 4th. The Bears JV team fell in the first contest by the final of 35-24. Grayson Sypolt led Davis-Thomas in the JV game with 5 points. Logan Shahan and Jaydon Robeson added 4 points each for the Bears. In the varsity game Davis-Thomas fell in a close contest 42-40. Maddox Anderson led the Bears with 16 points and Trevan Bonner added 11 points for Davis-Thomas.

PETERSBURG – The Davis-Thomas Girls’ Basketball team traveled to Petersburg on Thursday December 5th for their first game of the season. In the JV contest Davis-Thomas fell by the score of 30-13. Raven Matthews led Lady Bears the JV with 7 points. The varsity contest was also won by Petersburg by the final score of 30-16. Davis-Thomas was led in scoring by Kiley Hebb with 5 points.

THOMAS – The Bears Boys’ Basketball teams hosted Warm Springs on Friday December 6th. The Davis-Thomas JV team fell in the first game 36-31. Reid Kisamore led the Bears JV team with 9 points and Logan Shahan chipped in 7 points. In the varsity contest Davis-Thomas picked up the win by the final score of 45-42. Justin Robeson led the Bears with 14 points and Maddox Anderson added 13 points in the victory.
