THOMAS – The Davis-Thomas Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams hosted Moorefield on Monday January 10th. In the Girls’ game Davis-Thomas fell in the contest by the score of 34-23. Mayah Gross led the Lady Bears with 10 points and Emmy Cangley added 6 points in the loss for Davis-Thomas.
In the Boys’ JV game Davis-Thomas picked up the win 47-12. Colin Fortney led the Bears JV with 19 points and Gabe Oliver added 12 points. In the Varsity contest Davis-Thomas got the win 53-20. Carson Dearborn led the Bears with 14 points. Logan Shahan and Josh Crossland added 9 points each for Davis-Thomas in the win.
ROMNEY – The Boys’ teams traveled to Romney Middle on Thursday January 13th. In the JV game Davis-Thomas picked up the win 29-24. Colin Fortney and Gabe Oliver led the Bears with 9 points each. In the Varsity game the Bears got the hard fought win by the score of 28-25. Keelyn Eichelberger led the Bears with 11 points and Josh Crossland added 6 points for Davis-Thomas.
HAMBELTON – The Boys’ teams finished out the week with a JV / Varsity contest against Tucker Valley at the TCHS Gym on Saturday January 15th. In the first game the Davis-Thomas JV team got the win over Tucker Valley 47-28. Emmet Felton led the Davis-Thomas JV with 15 points and Drew Simmons added 11 points in the Bears JV win. In the Varsity contest Davis-Thomas fell by the score of 40-23. Carson Dearborn led the Bears with 9 points and Reid Kisamore added 6 points in the Davis-Thomas loss.
The Davis-Thomas Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams will travel to Union tonight Wednesday January 19th. Then both teams will host Capon Bridge on Friday January 21st. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
