Davis-Thomas Middle School Basketball Update

On February 16th the DTEMS Bears and Lady Bears traveled to Union school tonight for a tournament.

The Lady Bears beat the Lady Cougars from East Hardy 29-14 with MacKenzie Zirk leading the team with 12 points and 3 rebounds. Alena Lambruno added 7 points, 3 rebounds and Gracie Rapp chipped in with 6 points, 6 rebounds for the win.

The Bears Boys’ teams lost 58-32 against the Cougars from East Hardy. Trevor Adams was the top scorer with 16 points, Harper Russell had 9 points and Blake Anderson chipped in with 5 points.

The Bears and lady bears traveled to Union for the final games in the Union Tournament on Saturday February 18th. The Lady Bears came away from the tournament as Champions with a 45-24 win over Union Middle School. Laurel Inglese led the Lady Bears today with 18 points and 18 rebounds. Nevaeh Nichols had 9 points and 8 rebounds. MacKenzie Zirk, Alena Lambruno and Gracie Rapp chipped in 6 points each for Davis-Thomas in the win. Alena Lambruno and MacKenzie Zirk were named to the All-Tournament team and Laurel Inglese as named an Honorable Mention.

The Davis-Thomas Boys’ team won the consolation game 54-35 against Union. Trevor Adams had 14 points and 8 rebounds and Harper Russell scored 12 points, 2 rebounds. Jeremy Liller added 11 points and 2 rebounds for the Bears in the win. Trevor Adams and Jeremy Liller were named to the All-Tournament team, with Blake Anderson named as an Honorable Mention.
