Jack Haggerty Roberts, Jr., (Jackie) age 71, Gloucester, New Jersey passed away on February 10, 2017 at Virtua Hospital in Marlton, NJ, following an extended illness.
Jack was the son of Jack Haggerty Roberts (formerly of Hambleton) and Virginia E. Roberts of Baltimore, Maryland. Following the death of his Mother, Jack grew up in Davis with his Aunt and Uncle, Alice (Roberts) and Bob Raese.
Jack was a Veteran, having served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was a retired Automobile Mechanic
He is survived by his wife Karen Erickson Roberts of the home, Son Jack H. Roberts III (Michele), Gloucester, Nj, one Daughter Marcia Roberts Weaver (Bill), two Sisters; Lucille J. Roberts Stilwell, Mechanicsville, VA and Virginia Roberts Buckelew (Tom), Baldwin, MD. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren; Nathaniel Roberts, Danielle Roberts, Ashley Weaver Flood (Joe), Holly Weaver, Katelyn Weaver and Amanda Weaver. He is also survived by Aunt Rita Roberts, Hambleton, WV and a number of nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, and his Sister Martha Roberts Swartz, Parsons, WV, his adopted Father and Mother, Bob and Alice Raese and adopted Sister, Ann Raece Rush (Dick).
Relatives and Friends were invited to attend his visitation Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with a Service following at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 544 North Broad Street, Woodbury, NJ, where Jack was a very active member. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Woodbury, NJ 08109.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Alloway Funeral Home, Inc., 315 E. Maple Avenue, Merchantville, NJ 08109
