The Davis Thomas Bears Middle School golf team completed their 2026 campaign last week on a high note. The week started with a trip to the Cumberland Country Club for a large seven-team match. The Bears’ top performer was Miles Henderson, tying for 3rd place overall, shooting a round of 50. Nolan Luzier would come in tied for 10th overall, shooting a 56. Noah Luzier would finish the match with a round of 62, and then Jaxson Quattro with a 69. The scores were good enough to secure a third-place finish for the team.
DT would then have their very own Hunter Lipscomb competing in the Girls Middle School Invitational at Capon Springs on Wednesday. Hunter would shoot a round of 59, which landed her third overall and a spot on the all-girls team.
The Bears would then compete in their final match of the season as they traveled to Capon Springs on Thursday, Oct. 1, for a four-team match that saw the Bears finish in third. The Bears’ low scorer was Nolan Luzier with a 49, followed by brother Noah Luzier with a round of 51, Hunter Lipscomb with a 56, Owen Wolford with a 60, Bryson Mihalko with a 61, and Jaxson Quattro with a 71.
The Bears will now turn their focus to off-season improvements and look forward to a successful 2027 season.
