The TCHS Lady Mt. Lions softball team started the week off just north of the state line in MD at Southern Garrett High School. Tucker started the game just the way Coach Hicks drew it up, with his daughter Peyton hitting a solo homer to center field in the top of the first inning to go up 1-0. The solo dinger would prove to be Tucker’s only score of the game, as the Rams would outscore them in every inning, taking a 10–1 victory for Southern.
Tucker would not play again until Saturday, when they made the trip east to take on the Moorefield Yellowjackets. Tucker would struggle at the plate and with errors, collecting just four hits but piling up nine errors. Tucker inevitably fell 11-1, with two hits coming from Bella Loucks and one hit each from Rylee White and A. Malcolm. Tucker’s season is quickly approaching its end, with just three regular-season games left on the schedule: a doubleheader at Pocahontas County on Tuesday, the 5th, and at Preston County on May 7th at 6:00 p.m.
