LADY MT. LIONS FALL TO PRESTON AND PENDLETON COUNTY

KINGWOOD – The Tucker County Volleyball team traveled to “AAA” Preston on Tuesday September 13th.  The Lady Knights defeated the Lady Mt. Lions in the match 3-0.  Set 1 went to Preston by the score of 25-20.  The Lady Knights took Set 2 also 25-15.  Tucker County could not force a fourth set as Preston would win Set 3 by the count of 25-21 to give them the win over the Lady Mt. Lions 3-0.  The Tucker County JV team also fell to Preston by the scores of 25-13 and 25-18.

PARSONS – The Lady Mt. Lions hosted Pendleton County on Thursday September 15th.  In the JV match the Lady Wildcats got past the Tucker County JV in straight sets 25-14 and 25-16.

In Set 1 of the Varsity match the Lady Mt. Lions got a fast start to lead 7-2 early.  Pendleton County then fought back to score 6 straight points to make the score 8-7 Lady Wildcats.  The set went back and forth in scoring as it was tied at 13-13 and 16-16 before Pendleton County started to pull away.  A 4-0 run by the visiting Lady Wildcats move the Pendleton County advantage to 20-16.  Tucker County could not comeback as Pendleton County took Set 1 by the score of 25-20.

The Lady Wildcats would pull away in Set 2 as the score was tied as 4-4 before an 8-2 run gave Pendleton County a 12-6 lead.  The Lady Mt. Lions cut the deficit to 14-12, but the Lady Wildcats finished the set with a 11-0 run to win Set 2 25-12.

Tucker County could not get their offense going in Set 3 as Pendleton County built a 14-7 lead half way through the set.  The Lady Wildcats would not the Lady Mt. Lions comeback as they took Set 3 by the score of 25-13 to give them the Match win 3-0.

Tucker County(3-2) will travel to Petersburg tonight September 21st at 6pm and then the Lady Mt. Lions will travel to Tygarts Valley on Thursday September 22nd at 6pm.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
