Lady Mt. Lions Get Double W’s, Defeat Lincoln and Pendleton

The Lady Mt. Lions got two wins this last week as they traveled to the Lincoln Lady Cougars and played host to the Pendleton County Lady Wildcats. Last Wednesday, December 11th, Tucker traveled to Shinnston and took on the Lady Cougars. The game was tight through the first quarter as Tucker held a 1- point lead. The Lady Mt. Lions would fall behind by 1 point going into the half with a score of 31-30. Tucker would get back on top in the third quarter, taking a 46-41 lead going into the final quarter. The Lady Mt. Lions would pull away in the fourth quarter and cruise to a 63-48 victory. Tucker was led on the night by Makenna Evans with 19 points, Maya Gross had 17 points and Raven Matthews finished with 10 points. Tucker would return home on Friday, December 13th to play host to Pendleton County. Tucker would take an 18-6 lead in the first quarter and hold the Lady Wildcats to single digit scoring again in the second quarter to take a 30-11 advantage into the break. The Lady Mt. Lions had a huge third quarter, dropping 21 points and pushing the lead out to 54-14 in favor of Tucker. The fourth quarter would prove to be no different, and the final score was 74-35 garnering the win for Tucker. Eleven Lady Mt. Lions would find the bottom of the net in the game, led by Maya Gross with 22 points, Raven Matthews added 13 points and Makenna Evans notched 10. Tucker will host Petersburg on Tuesday, the 17th. JV tip off at 5:45 pm and then they will travel to Southern Garrett on Thursday, the 19th. JV tipoff is set for 6:00 pm.
