The ladies of Tucker County basketball kicked off winter sports for TCHS last week at home in a scrimmage against the Frankfort Falcons. Tucker outscored the Falcons 56-21, holding Frankfort to single-digit scoring in all four quarters. Tucker displayed its high-tempo full-court pressure, forcing FHS into 26 turnovers.

The Lady Mt. Lions were without their returning leading scorer, Mayah Gross, who is recovering from a knee injury suffered over the summer. Senior Makenna Evans led the way with a game-high 21 points, followed by Izzy Kitzmiller with 14 and Addi Moats with 10.

Tucker returns to the hardwood on Monday, November 24, with a scrimmage at Buckhannon-Upshur, and their regular-season opener is December 3 at Elkins.
