LADY WILDCATS SOFTBALL WIN AT HOME OVER TERRA ALTA 8-1

CAMP KIDD – The Tucker Valley Softball team hosted Terra Alta on Monday April 10th.   The Lady Wildcats used a strong performance from Peyton Hicks on the mound and at the plate to get by Terra Alta 8-1.  Peyton Hicks pitched a 22 strikeout no hitter on the mound for the Lady Wildcats as Terra Alta scored their only run on an error.  Terra Alta scored first with 1 run in the top of the 3rd inning, but Tucker Valley answered back with 3 runs in the bottom of the 3rd to make the score 3-1 Lady Wildcats after 3 innings.  Tucker Valley then added 1 run in the 5th inning and 4 runs in the 6th inning to put the score to 8-1 after 6 innings.  Terra Alta was not able to make a rally in the 7th to give the Lady Wildcats the 8-1 home victory.  Peyton Hicks led Tucker Valley at the plate and inside the park home run in the 6th inning and Hicks hit a double in the 5th inning for her 2 hits.  Vivi Crossland added 1 hit for Tucker Valley in the 2nd inning.

 

Tucker Valley will return to action tonight Wednesday April 19th at home against Bruceton at 6pm.  For more information go to TuckerCountySports.com.
