The Tucker County Mountain Lions track and field team delivered an outstanding feat at the PVC Championships. With multiple individual champions and relay victories, Tucker County left a strong mark on the meet and earned numerous All-PVC honors.
Leading the charge for the Mountain Lions boys team was Lynk Suesli, who claimed double gold in the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs, earning All-PVC honors in both events. Nate Ricottilli also secured a championship title in the 400-meter dash, earning All-PVC honors, and added a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash.
Alex Collar continued the winning momentum with a first-place finish in the 800-meter run, earning All-PVC honors, and a third-place showing in the 300-meter hurdles. In the field events, Lucas Barb soared to a victory in the long jump, earning All-PVC honors, and took second in the high jump.
Strong supporting performances came from Reid Kisamore, who placed second in the 200-meter dash and third in the 100-meter dash, and Keelyn Eichelberger, who finished second in the 400-meter dash. Landon Wilfong added a second-place finish in the 800 meters and third in the 400 meters.
Distance runner Cameron Judy turned in an impressive meet with second-place finishes in both the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs, along with a third-place finish in the 800 meters. Draven Bunnell added depth in distance events with third-place finishes in both the 1600 and 3200.
The Mountain Lions also dominated the relay events. The 4×200-meter relay team of Lucas Barb, Keelyn Eichelberger, Nate Ricottilli, and Reid Kisamore captured first place, earning All-PVC honors. The 4×400-meter relay team of Landon Wilfong, Lynk Suesli, Keelyn Eichelberger, and Nate Ricottilli also took first place, earning All-PVC honors. The 4×800-meter relay team of Cameron Judy, Landon Wilfong, Alex Collar, and Lynk Suesli completed the sweep with another first-place finish, earning All-PVC honors. The 4×100-meter relay team placed fourth.
On the girls side, Lela Wright sprinted her way to double gold, winning both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, earning All-PVC honors in each event. Addi Moats matched that achievement in distance events, taking first in both the 800-meter and 1600-meter runs, earning All-PVC honors.
Estoria Chase continued the winning tradition with a championship performance in the 3200-meter run, earning All-PVC honors. Mayah Gross contributed with a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash and a fifth-place showing in discus.
Livey Mayne placed third in the long jump, while Juniper Judy secured fourth-place finishes in both the 1600 and 3200-meter runs. Rachel Hile added points in the hurdles, placing sixth in the 300-meter hurdles and seventh in the 100-meter hurdles.
The girls’ relay teams also made their presence known. The 4×200-meter relay team of Mayah Gross, Addi Moats, Rachel Hile, and Lela Wright captured first place, earning All-PVC honors. The shuttle hurdles relay team earned second place. The 4×400-meter and 4×800-meter relay teams both finished third, and the 4×100-meter relay team placed fourth.
Their performances not only brought home medals but also set a high standard as they look ahead to the remainder of the postseason. The Mountain Lions will next perform on May 12th in Keyser for the Regional Championship.
