MILL CREEK – Tygarts Valley scored 8 runs in the 3rd inning to knock off the Tucker County baseball team 15-5 on Tuesday April 1st.
The Bulldogs held a 4-2 lead before their bats came alive in the 3rd inning that put the game out of reach for the Mt. Lions. Kevin McDermott took the loss on the mound. Zac Haddox and Allen Molone finished with 2 hits and 1 RBI each for the Mt. Lions. McDermott also had 2 hits at the plate and Landon Dillard added 1 hit in the loss. Runs were scored by Haddox, McDermott, Dusty Conrad and Dillard twice.
PARSONS – On Wednesday April 2nd Preston spoiled the Mt. Lions home opener as the Knights took the contest 24-3.
Billy Plum got the start at pitcher and suffered the loss. Landon Dillard, Kevin McDermott and Justin Fike had 1 hit each for Tucker County in the game. Zach Everly, Harry Pennington and Fike each scored a run in the contest for the Mt. Lions.
