WEST UNION – The Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country team traveled to Doddridge County on Tuesday September 14th to compete in the Doddridge County Invitational.
Erin Chambers finished in the top 10 in the Girls’ race that featured 112 runners. Chambers finished with a 9th place finish with a time of 23:11.19. Tucker County Girls’ Results: 9th-Erin Chambers(23:11.19), 15th-Katie Hicks(23:34.66), 29th-Hannah Hardy(25:01.64), 78th-Addie Hicks(30:10.52), 84th-Brianna Gooden(31:07.77) and 111th-Tessa Jolly(47:25.20).
In the Boys’ race of 113 runners Devin Witemore led Tucker County with a 49th place finish with a time of 22:54.11. Tucker County Boys’ Results: 49th-Devin Witemore(22:54.11), 55th-Clay Poling(23:21.58), 64th-Trent Eure(24:30.42), 83rd-Wesley Strawderman(26:05.30), 89th-Ethan McCrum(26:47.53), 105th-Alan Boyles(29:29.82) and 112th-Haden Wamsley(33:19.93).
The Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country teams will return to action on Saturday September 25th at Grafton at 9am. Both Tucker County teams will then travel to Liberty Harrison on Tuesday September 28th for a meet at 4:30pm. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
