Mt. Lions Turn in Multiple Top Finishes at Keyser Meet

The Tucker County High School Mt. Lions track and field teams turned in a solid showing Tuesday, March 31, at a meet hosted by Keyser High School, with several athletes earning top finishes and podium spots against tough competition.

Leading the way for the Mt. Lions boys team was Reid Kisamore, who sprinted to a second-place finish in the 100-meter dash. Nate Ricottilli added valuable points with a pair of fourth-place finishes in the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes, while teammate Keelyn Eichelberger placed sixth in the 400.

In the middle-distance events, Cameron Judy delivered a standout running with a third-place finish in the 1600-meter run. Lynk Suesli also claimed third in the 3200-meter run, with Draven Bunnell following in sixth. Alex Collar contributed in multiple events, placing sixth in the 800-meter run and fourth in the 300-meter hurdles.

In the field events, Luke Barb secured a second-place finish in the long jump and added a fourth-place finish in the high jump.

The Mt. Lions relay teams also made their mark. The 4×100-meter relay team of Luka Barb, Keelyn Eichelberger, Nate Ricottilli, and Reid Kisamore finished fourth, while the 4×800-meter relay team of Cameron Judy, Landon Wilfong, Lynk Suesli, and Alex Collar earned a strong second-place finish.

On the girls side, Lela Wright led the charge with an impressive first-place finish in the 100-meter dash and a runner-up performance in the 200-meter dash. Mayah Gross added a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash, placed eighth in the 200, and took fifth in the discus.

Distance runner Addi Moats contributed with a fifth-place finish in the 800-meter run and a fourth-place showing in the 1600-meter run. Rachel Hile competed in multiple events, placing sixth in the 300-meter hurdles and eighth in the 100-meter dash. Livey Mayne added a sixth-place finish in the 100-meter dash and placed fifth in the long jump.
