TCHS Track and Field continued their triumphant season with a productive showing at the regional meet last week at Doddridge County High School. Tucker would receive eight individual medals and two for their relay teams. The top two finishers at regionals qualify for bids to the state track meet, and the rest are at large qualifiers. Therefore, 11 individuals and five relay teams will be heading to Laidley Field in Charleston on May 23rd and 24th to represent the black and gold in the state track meet.
Regional Results: Lela Wright- 1st in 100m dash (broke previous record with a 12.74), 3rd in 100m high hurdles; Estoria Chase-2nd in 3200m run; Mayah Gross- 3rd in 300m hurdles; Reid Kisamore-2nd in long jump; Luke Barb-2nd in high jump; Nate Ricottilli- 3rd in 400m dash; Cameron Judy-3rd in 1600m run; Lynk Suesli1st in 3200m run; Nate Ricottilli, Keelyn Eichelberger, Luke Barb, and Reid Kisamore-3rd in 4x400m relay, Cameron Judy, Logan Kopec, Lynk Suesli, and Alex Collar- 3rd in 4x800m relay; Team Results-Girls 5th out of 15 teams, Boys 3rd out of 12 teams.
State Qualifiers: Girl’s Track- 100 m – Lela Wright; 400 m – Mayah Gross; 800 m – Addi Moats; 1600 m – Estoria Chase; 3200 m – Estoria Chase; 100 m Hurdles – Lela Wright; 300 m Hurdles – Mayah Gross; Shuttle Hurdle Relay – Lela Wright, Addi Moats, Rachel Hile, Mayah Gross.
