Tucker County’s boys basketball team had a pair of quality wins this past week in their summer league. The Mt. Lions first got a lopsided win against regional rival East Hardy. The Mt. Lions put it all over the Cougars for a final score of 70-44. Tucker is hoping that this trend continues this coming winter, with the Cougars proving to be a perennial at Charleston come March.
The second matchup of the week was against Allegheny, MD. Tucker took care of business again with a commanding 53-35 victory. Tucker’s success this summer comes as no shock to those who follow the Mt. Lions, whose sights are always set south on I-79, with this team’s expectations being no different.
