The Tucker County High School Track team made the trip to Laidley Field at the University of Charleston on May 23rd and 24th to compete at the highest level of the 2025 track season. When the dust settled and all the times and distances were recorded, the Mt. Lions accounted for 12 total individual and team medals. At the State Meet, the top 8 finishers received a medal. The highest finish Tucker would receive was by standout sprinter, Lela Wright, who would again break her own school record on the way to a second-place finish in the 100m dash. Nate Ricottilli, Keelyn Eichelberger, Luke Barb, and Reid Kisamore would garner a 3rd place finish in the 4x400m relay, and Barb would also earn a 4th place finish in the high jump. Tucker’s successful season now comes to an end with a bright outlook for the 2026 season with multiple contributors returning for next season.
Lela Wright- 2nd in 100m dash (12.65) (Broke previous school record; 12.74); Estoria Chase-7th in 3200m run, 8th in 1600m run; Mayah Gross- 6th in 400m dash; Reid Kisamore- 6th in long jump; Luke Barb- 4th in high jump; Nate Ricottilli- 4th in 400m dash; Lynk Suesli – 8th in 3200m run; Nate Ricottilli, Keelyn Eichelberger, Luke Barb, and Reid Kisamore- 3rd in 4x400m relay; 7th in 4x100m relay; Nate Ricottilli, Oliver Archuletta, Luke Barb, and Reid Kisamore- 6th in 4x200m relay; Cameron Judy, Logan Kopec, Lynk Suesli, and Alex Collar- 7th in 4x800m relay.
The boys’ team placed ninth out of 24 and the girls’ team placed 16th out of 28.
