Last Monday, the Tucker County Volleyball team hosted the Southern Garrett Rams. The Rams would win the first set 25-15, however, the Mt. Lions would answer winning the second set 25-14. The Rams would take the third set 25-19, but again Tucker would answer in the fourth 25-23 forcing the fifth set. Southern would prove to be too much for Tucker, winning the final set 15-6 and taking the match, 3-2. The Mt. Lions would also play host to the Moorefield Yellow Jackets on Thursday. Moorefield would take the first set 25-17, the Mt. Lions counter punched winning the second set 25-23. Moorefield would take the third set 25-22, but Tucker would again answer winning the 4th set 25-22.  The Mt. Lions went down 10-4 in the fifth and final set but stormed back to win the set 15-13 which would give Tucker the victory for the match. This was the first time in this group of seniors careers they have beaten Moorefield. The Mt. Lions will travel to Preston County this Thursday to compete in a Tri-Match with Preston and University High.
